Our Services

Vaccines

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are critical to the well being of your pet, protecting them from potentially deadly viral and bacterial diseases like Distemper, Parvo Virus, Leptospirosis and Rabies in dogs; Panleukopenia, Feline Leukemia Virus and Rabies in cats.

Our veterinarians will help you decide which vaccines are appropriate for your pet's risk factors. Proper administration at the correct age and time interval is critical for proper protection.  Vaccination is particularly important in young animals that have naive immune systems.  Vaccination typically starts at 6-8 weeks of age and the puppy and kitten series is completed around 16 weeks of age.

Vaccinations are accompanied by veterinarian consultation and examination to ensure your pet is healthy to receive the vaccines.  We will keep you up-to-date when your pet(s) will be due for booster vaccinations during their juvenile and adult years.

Cute Kittens

Spays and Neuters

We recommend that all non-breeding pets should be spayed and neutered to keep our pet population under control.  As well, this will prevent various diseases and conditions attributed to having intact reproductive anatomy in cats and dogs.
At our hospital, safety is paramount. We take great care with all of our surgeries and cater all of our anesthetic protocols to our patients as individuals. We limit the number of surgeries we do in one day so that we can focus all our attention on your pet.
Drop-off Appointments

Drop-Off Appointments

We understand that sometimes your pet will need to be seen at times that are inconvenient for today's lifestyle.  For that reason, we are happy to offer morning drop-off appointments. You can drop off your pet in the morning, before work and pick them up after work!  There are a limited number available in a given day so it is important to call ahead and book early if possible.
When you come in, you will need about 10-15 minutes to fill out our history and symptoms form so that the veterinarian can have all the information on your pet.
Surgery room

Surgery

In addition to more routine surgeries like spays and neuters, we offer many other soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.  These surgeries include, but are not limited to:
  • Lump Removals
  • Abdominal Surgeries
  • Perineal Urethrostomies (PU)
  • Eyelid surgeries (Entropion), eye removals ( Enucleations)
  • Hip surgeries ( Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy)
  • Cruciate surgery (knee surgery)
  • Bladder surgeries (Cystotomy)

Referral to a surgical specialist may be offered as well.

X-Rays

X-rays have been in use for over 100 years for diagnosis of animal and human patients.  Despite its age, it is still one of the best tools we have at our disposal to diagnose and, thereafter, provide treatment to patients.  At our hospital, we offer the latest digital technology with our full-body X-ray and dental X-ray.

Parasite Control

Animals have to worry about parasites much more than humans do.  When you spend so much of your time with your nose and mouth to the ground, you are bound to pick up something!  It's important for the health of your pet that they are regularly examined for parasites and treated appropriately.
